Tibetan music group aims to become China’s ‘singing sensation’

A Tibetan music group called Khawa Karpo are on their way to becoming the next big thing in the world of music. They’ve already released an album and have a growing number of fans.

30-year-old Lhalung Shilock is a member of Khawa Karpo. To local villagers, he has become the “Folk Song Prince”, but Lhalung told us that for the first 18 years of his life, he was not even aware that Tibetan primitive songs could even be called ‘music’.
