Tibet’s Jokhang Monastery goes digital

Experts at Beijing’s Palace Museum have partnered with Tibet’s Jokhang Monastery to create one of the most advanced 3D high-definition image database of cultural relics in China. Up to now, they have already documented about 85 percent of Jokhang Monastery’s 5,051 statues. The whole digital process is expected to be done by 2017.
