Tokyo: DPRK Missile launch lands in Japanese controlled waters

South Korea says the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has launched two mid-range Rodong ballistic missiles. Its Joint Chiefs of Staff says the DPRK fired two missiles on Wednesday morning, but one of them exploded right after launch. Japan’s defense minister says one of the missiles appears to have landed inside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, less than 250 kilometers from the coast of the Akita Prefecture in northeastern Japan. It is the first time a DPRK missile has landed in or near Japanese-controlled waters.
