Treasure trove! 1,092 ancient tombs unearthed in east Beijing

Archaeologists have unearthed 1,092 ancient tombs in the Chinese capital Beijing since late September. The discovery is made in Tongzhou district in east Beijing during construction work on the city’s new administrative center. The oldest tomb dates as far back as some 2,400 years. About 10,000 relics have been found.
