Truck hits crowd, kills at least 26 in central Mexico

At least 26 people were killed and over 100 wounded on July 29 after a heavy truck crashed into a crowd of church goers in Mazapil Municipality in Mexico’s central state of Zacatecas.
Official sources said that the the truck driver fled the scence and is being sought after. However it seems the accident was caused by mechanical failure within the truck.
The crowd was heading at the time to the San Gregorio Magno Church to attend a saint-marking ceremony.
