West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today said that she wants public to know the truth about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s sudden disappearance. “The man who traveled across the world for India, we need to find why he suspiciously disappeared,” she said. “We have made the beginning. People must know about the final days of Netaji. He must get his due recognition. Historians and researchers must study these files minutely,” Mamata added. She also asked central government to release the documents on Netaji. “Let Central government also declassify Netaji Files. Let people know the truth. Let them be the judge,” Mamata said. Earlier this morning, West Bengal government on Friday declassified 64 files related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The files were handed to the family members first and also kept on display in a police museum in Kolkata. However, the files will be allowed for public viewing only by Monday. The documents are believed to be in over 12,000 pages.
