Turkey-based Kurdish group claims responsibility for Ankara bombing

Turkish officials have attended the funeral of the victims of Wednesday’s bomb attack in Ankara, which targeted the Turkish military and claimed 28 lives. The government had blamed Syrian Kurdish group YPG for the attack, but a Turkey-based Kurdish militant group, the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), has claimed that it had carried out the attack. The group said on its website that the Ankara bombing was in retaliation against the policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
