Turkey has ordered the detention of another 47 journalists as part of a widening crackdown on supporters of US-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen. He was accused by Ankara of masterminding the failed military coup. The new detentions cover executives and some staff from the Zaman newspaper, the Gulen movement’s flagship media organization.
