Turkey-ISIL conflict: Rockets from Syria kill one, wound seven in Turkey

Turkey’s Dogan News Agency says one person was killed and seven others wounded on Thursday after two rockets hit the border town of Kilis. The rockets were launched from an ISIL-controlled area in Syria. Kilis is just across the border from a region in northern Syria controlled by the militant group. It has been frequently hit by rocket fires in recent weeks and Turkey’s military had previously retaliated with fire. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Ankara was ready to send ground forces into Syria to tackle the Islamic State militants if necessary.
