Turkish PM vows not to deploy more troops to Bashika

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu sent a letter to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi late Sunday, promising not to deploy more troops to Bashika. Davutoglu said Turkey is committed to Iraq’s integrity and sovereignty, and will continue to provide support in the fight against the Islamic State. Iraq said Sunday it would give Turkey 48 hours to withdraw forces or face “all available options,” including recourse to the UN Security Council.
