Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is to stand down at an extraordinary meeting of his ruling AK Party later this month. The decision came after a meeting between Davutoglu and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday. The talks followed weeks of increasingly public tension between the pair.
