Typhoon Megi makes landfall in east China’s Fujian

Typhoon Megi made landfall in Quanzhou, a port city in east China’s Fujian Province, at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, packing winds of more than 118 kilometers per hour. Megi, the 17th typhoon this year, brought downpours to the coastal areas of the province.

It has killed 4 people and injured 268 others in Taiwan as it swept through the island on Sept. 27.
