Typhoon Nepartak makes landfall in south China’s Fujian

Most areas in southern China are being lashed by heavy rainstorms and flooding on Saturday morning as Nepartak, this year’s first typhoon, made a landfall in Fujian Province around noon. Authorities have forecast that torrential rainfall triggered by the typhoon will batter Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces for up to three days.
