U.S. Colorado theater shooter gets life term

U.S. Colorado theater shooter James Holmes was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Friday.

3 years ago, Holmes opened fire to crowds in a cinema of Aurora, Colorado, killing 12 and injuring 70 others.

Jurors deliberated for about six and a half hours over two days before deciding on Holmes’ sentence.

They rejected his insanity defense and found him guilty, but failed to agree on whether he should get the death penalty.
