U.S. gun background checks hit high on Black Friday

Black Friday witnessed a record high number of people applying to purchase guns in the United States.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday it processed more than185,000 backgound checks for gun sales on Nov. 27 … roughly two per second.
The previous highest number of applicants in a single day was recorded the week after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in late 2012 which killed 20 children and six adults.
