U.S. pop star Madonna visits Cuba to celebrate 58th birthday
The United States pop star Madonna on August 16 wrapped up a two-day surprise visit to Cuba to celebrate her 58th birthday accompanied by her children, family and close friends.
In a white shawl, black sunglasses and Panama hat, the singer and actress wandered through the important historical and cultural sites of Havana, and enjoyed a “big party” with Cuban rhythms, dances and flavors.
The “Queen of Pop” stayed at the Saratoga Hotel in downtown Havana, where other foreign celebrities used to stay.
Cuba has become a popular destination for world celebrities after Washington and Havana reestablished diplomatic relations last year.
