U.S. swimmers’ account of Rio robbery questioned, 2 stopped from boarding flight home

The claim by four U.S. swimmers including Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen that they were robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro has been questioned. Brazilian police say they’ve found little evidence to support their account. The other two swimmers – Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz– were pulled from a flight to the U.S. at Rio’s airport late Wednesday. They and Feigen, who is also in Brazil, will face new questioning by Brazilian police. Lochte was back home on Monday.
