Philip Hammond, UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, has said there is economic trouble ahead for the country as the government negotiates its withdrawal from the EU. His statement comes after PM Theresa May announced that the government will trigger the formal mechanism for Brexit by the end of March 2017. Hammond hopes Britain will get a deal that will enable UK companies to continue to access the EU’s single market.
