The British government has held a signing ceremony with French and Chinese partners in London, to officially confirm a deal that will see the building of the country’s first new nuclear power station in a generation. The plan has been dogged by uncertainty for months, after it was narrowly approved by the board of French firm EDF, before then being put on hold by British Prime Minister Theresa May in July for further consultation.
