Analysts warned during the campaign ahead of the Brexit referendum that a vote to leave the European Union would put many mergers and acquisition deals on hold. However, transactions worth a total of over $34 billion have been struck since the vote by foreign companies buying British firms. Some analysts expect the upturn in M&A activity to continue as foreign companies hunt for bargains. CCTV’s Catherine Drew has the report.
