UN chiefs calls on all parties to “keep promises”

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says the ‘cessation of hostilities’ in Syria is largely holding, despite “some incidents” being reported. Speaking in Madrid on Tuesday, Ban said the UN’s priority is to provide air drops of humanitarian aid to besieged areas. He said that at least 140,000 people are expected to receive emergency supplies by the start of next week.
