The United Nations says an international aid convoy has delivered the first food aid to the besieged Syrian town of Daraya since 2012. Trucks from the UN and Syrian Arab Red Crescent took what it says was a month’s supply of food for 2,400 people. The convoy also delivered other aid including medical supplies. The local council says the UN has underestimated the number of people still living in the town that is under siege by government troops. It says the food supplies are not enough to last a month.
