A Syrian amputee swimmer, who has been granted asylum in Greece, has been selected as a torchbearer for the 2016 Rio Games. He is scheduled to run with the Olympic flame through a refugee camp in Athens on Tuesday. It will be the first time that a refugee has served as an Olympic torchbearer since 1936, when the first torch relay occurred during the Summer Olympics in Berlin.
