UNSC cancels meeting to endorse Syrian ceasefire deal

The United Nations Security Council has canceled a meeting on Syria as a result of a fallout between Russia and the United States. Moscow has accused Washington of refusing to share important documents pertaining to the ongoing ceasefire agreement, saying the council couldn’t endorse the deal until it had received all the relevant information. The US and Russian envoys were scheduled to present details of the deal, whereby all sides were expected to agree to allow aid deliveries into the devastated city of Aleppo.
