U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy, Sung Kim, and South Korea’s Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, Kim Hong-kyun met on Tuesday amid ongoing military exercises. South Korea said discussions included the DPRK’s nuclear program. The South Korean Foreign Ministry said the two allies agreed to maintain close cooperation to strengthen pressure and sanctions against the DPRK.
