US army chief in China amid THAAD dispute

The Chief of Staff of the US Army is in China for talks with top Chinese army commanders. General Mark A. Milley said to his Chinese counterpart, General Li Zuocheng, that China should not feel threatened by the deployment of THAAD in South Korea. He insisted the powerful missile defense system is not intended to track missiles inside China but to defend attacks from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
