US elections 2016: Polls tight as Iowa prepares to vote

America has taken its first step in the race to the White House. US presidential candidates are making a final pitch to voters in Iowa, the first state to get its say in the party nominations. The front runners for the Democrats see former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton face off against self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Saunders, while New York billionaire Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz lead the Republican pack.
