US military to return 17% of land in Okinawa

The US military is preparing to make the largest handback of land to Japan on the island of Okinawa since it reverted to Japanese control in 1972. The US says it will return about 17 percent of land it controls, which totals about 4,000 hectares. That land is part of a jungle training camp in the north of Okinawa.
