US Okinawa forces to hold 30-day mourning period for Japanese murder victim

US forces at a military base on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa will hold a 30-day period of mourning for a 20-year-old Japanese woman, who was allegedly murdered by one of the base’s civilian employees. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe raised the murder case with US President Barack Obama ahead of the G7 summit earlier this week.
