The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) returned a treasured dinosaur fossil and 22 cultural artifacts to China in its latest cooperation to counter illicit trafficking of archaeological objects. The dinosaur fossil is estimated to be approximately 120 million years old, and the artifacts, including jade disks, bronze trays and other items, date back as far as 1,600 B.C., according to ICE’s statement. The move is a milestone in international cooperation in protecting China’s cultural heritage.
