US Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning will pay a three-day visit to South Korea starting on Monday. This is Fanning’s first visit to South Korea since his appointment in May. According to Yonhap News Agency, Fanning will hold talks with South Korean military officials and visit a US brigade based in the country. The brigade is mainly in charge of handling the Patriot air defense system, and will also take charge of the THAAD system once deployed.
