The 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference concluded its annual session on Monday. Thousands of proposals were submitted to China’s top political advisory body this year, with over 1,700 of them aimed at maintaining stable growth amid the current economic slowdown. Top on the priority list, however, were the Chinese economy and the government’s vision for reforms, such as supply-side structural reform, poverty alleviation and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, according to Yu Zhengsheng, the Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
