A new exhibition called “Glory of light and color, four centuries of painting in Venice”, has opened at Beijing’s National Museum of China. It marks the museum’s third celebration of Italy’s artistic heritage, following recent exhibitions dedicated to Florence and Rome. The 73 paintings come from six Italian museums, showing the landscape of Venice. Ettore Sequi, the Italian Ambassador, said the exhibition provides people with an overview of Venetian art down the centuries.
