Venezuela decrees two-day work week to save energy

Venezuela’s government has ordered public servants to work two days a week as an energy-saving measure in the crisis-hit country. President Nicolas Maduro said there would be no public sector work on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, except for fundamental tasks. Drought has reduced water levels in the country’s main dam and hydroelectric plant to near-critical levels.
