Venezuelan gov’t marks 61st birthday of Hugo Chavez

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, along with his government cabinet, Tuesday in Caracas commemorated the 61st birthday of late head of state Hugo Chavez in a ceremony that extended to early Wednesday morning.

Live coverage of the national television showed that the ceremony was held at the 4F Military Complex, where the remains of Chavez were preserved.
Maduro and Chavez’s family members paid tribute to the former president, who passed away two years ago after leading the nation on socialist path for 14 years.

Relevant cultural activities will be conducted in the coming days across the country to remember the former leader.
