Virender Sehwag Tweets RETIREMENT News

Virender Sehwag has announced his retirement from international cricket, more than two-and-a-half years on from his last appearance for India, the news was made official by the batsman himself on Twitter, the day after he had indicated during the Masters Cricket League launch in Dubai. After making the announcement, Veeru, as he is fondly called, thanked his teammates, coaches, and fans for their support. “I am pretty happy with my career. Thanks to all my fans, supporters, BCCI, my teammates, senior players for their love and support,” he said. Sehwag further said that he would stick with cricket post his retirement. “I can’t stay away from cricket. I might comeback as a commentrator or as a coach,” he said. Speaking about his “Khel Mantra”, Sehwag said, “I always played with a positive midset, my funda was to score on every bal.”
