Voting begins in Singapore poll

Voting began in Singapore on Friday in the city-state’s most hotly contested general election.

Authority said it could bring the sternest test of the long-ruling party, People’ s Action Party’s dominance of politics.

Voting station said a total of 832 polling stations has been opened from 8 8 p.m.

The ruling People’ s Action Party are challenged on all 89 parliamentary seats, while the Opposition parties are hoping to take advantage of the grumbling and are contesting all seats in parliament for the first time since independence in 1965.
