Watch: Chinese police rescue five hostages

Police in China’s Sichuan Province rescued five hostages from two armed women after a dramatic standoff on Monday. The women, who were found to be dealing drugs, climbed into a residential house through the window and used the people inside, which included children, as human shields.

They also covered themselves with a carpet as they left the building, making it difficult for the police to target them. However, a police officer approached and pounced on them. When the carpet fell, other police officers moved in and made the arrests. No causalities were reported and a further investigation is underway. Take a look at the video of the brave rescue.
