Watch: Firefighters to the rescue after toddler gets stuck in washing machine

A curious two-year-old boy in the northwestern Chinese city of Shizuishan got himself stuck in a washing machine at home on November 16.

With just his head and hands left sticking out, firefighters had to dismantle the machine to get the toddler out without injury, as shown in this video.

According to the People’s Daily, over 200,000 children die of accidental injuries every year in China, accounting for one third of the number of childhood deaths in the country.
