Torrential rainstorms have swept across many regions in northern China’s Shanxi Province over the last few days. Rainfall levels reached up to 200 millimeters in Lin county, where the local traffic police’s office building was hit by a mudslide triggered by the heavy downpours. The shocking episode was captured by a police officer with his cellphone. The mudslide caused substantial disruption and damage, but fortunately no casualties were reported.
