Watch: traffic police officers carry patient to hospital in the rain

A group of traffic police officers acted as an ambulance to carry a critically ill elderly man to hospital on Thursday as Typhoon Dianmu caused heavy rain in Haikou city, south China’s Hainan Province, disrupting local traffic. The man was in urgent need of surgery. He was initially taken into an ambulance, but the vehicle got trapped in the middle of the road by flooding. The police officers were seen shouldering the patient’s stretcher through the rain. Take a look at the touching scene.
