Students from 32 universities and colleges from around the world have gathered in Shenzhen, south China’s Guangdong Province, to showcase their robotic innovations. The robots, designed by students, are required to fight against each other to win the competition.
The infantry and drone robots in the competition were designed for different purposes – from running across bridges to launching air raids.
Around 7,000 young engineers from 228 global teams in 160 universities from around the world had signed up for the RoboMasters 2016. Now, the final 32 teams are competing for a 200,000 yuan (29,989 US Dollars) cash prize. Here’s an exclusive behind the scene look from the competition.
