Dozens of school children in China’s southernmost city have had their first lesson on water safety.
It includes Q&A on safe travel on water, and a contest on wearing life jackets.
The school is located on Yongxing island of Sansha City, which administers the Xisha, Zhongsha and Nansha island groups and their surrounding waters in the South China Sea.
The facility was first put into use in December last year. It now has 22 enrolled students, most of them children of local fishermen.
