WHO reports potential ‘game changer’ in battling Ebola

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that researchers are getting closer to developing a vaccine for Ebola that has had a 100% success rate in small scale trials. A potential “game changer” – as some experts have called it – has been on trial in Guinea since March. It has yet to be licensed, but the trial finished its randomisation phase on July 26, so that all those at risk could receive the vaccine and the time needed to gather conclusive evidence for licensing purposes could be reduced.
