Why Only J&K Expect To Respect : Omar Abdullah On Two-State Flag

With a bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court staying its earlier order allowing the state government to use both the tricolour as well as the state flags on official buildings and vehicles, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah today tweeted asking why only J&K be expected to respect. “Why is only J&K expected to respect the terms of accession while the rest of the country can disregard them with impunity? #twoflagswillfly (sic),” tweeted Omar. Using the hashtag #twoflagswillfly, Omar tweeted a picture of Prime Minister Narednra Modi and J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed sitting together with both the flags kept on display. Omar Abdullah further questioned Mufti over not defending the state flag in a tweet, “If Mufti Syed can’t defend the state’s dignity & flag from the nefarious plans of his allies he should step down & find someone who can!!! (sic)”
