A woman in her 60s died in central China’s Hunan Province after being hit by a three-wheeler.
The woman, surnamed Li, was crossing a street in Loudi City after doing shopping at a local market.
Surveillance video shows that Li was speaking on the phone while walking across the street, and was then hit by a passing three-wheeler.
The driver, surnamed Zhu, was detained after the accident.
The 58-year-old confessed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, and that he was distracted by an attractive young woman who had been walking by, so that he failed to notice the other woman that was walking across from the other side of the street.
