Passersby rushed to the aid of a woman who was trapped underneath a car after an accident in the city of Chenzhou, in central China’s Hunan Province on April 1. Surveillance cameras at the site captured footage of the woman being run over by an out of control car beside a bus stop. Pedestrians immediately crowded together and lifted the car to rescue the trapped woman, who fortunately survived but suffered severe chest injuries. The car driver said the accident may result from the fact that he did not pull the handbrake after he pulled away.
