At this year’s World Robot Conference in Beijing, primary and secondary school students from around the globe are gathering to compete for a top title in the World Adolescent Robot Contest.
The competition is divided into three categories, World Robot Olympiad, FIRST Robot Competition and FIRST Tech Challenge.
The robot games were joined by more than 130 teams from over a dozen countries.
Some reports say a study shows that 90 percent of children interested in designing robots do better in school, even if they spend much time working on the robots.
The purpose of holding the contest, organizers say, is not only to compete for the best titles, but more to encourage innovation, inspiration and creativity.
