World powers condemn DPRK nuclear test

The UN Security Council will hold a closed-door meeting in a few hours’ time to discuss the possibility of more sanctions against Pyongyang. South Korean President Park Geun-hye called a national security meeting, saying the international community must view DPRK’s fifth nuclear test as a challenge. Russia’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the test, and US President Barack Obama vowed to push for new international sanctions in response to what he called a “grave threat.”
