World’s largest single-dish radio telescope almost complete

The world’s largest single-dish radio telescope, the “Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope” (FAST), will soon be completed in southwest China’s Guizhou Province. The single-dish astronomical observatory consists of a total of 4,450 triangular panels, and now 4,443 of them have been installed – only seven at the bottom are still to be fitted.
